LYG INC ("we," "us," "our") operates the "The Lyg" mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. Name, email address, phone number, and role (player, parent, coach, scout, spectator, league administrator).
Date of birth. Collected for players to verify age-appropriate features and league eligibility. Stored using field-level encryption (AES-256-GCM) separate from the rest of your profile.
Payment information. We do not store your full card number. Payments are processed by Stripe (web checkout) or handled directly by the Apple App Store / Google Play Store (in-app purchases) under their own privacy policies. We store only the resulting subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to verify your purchase.
Photos and video. Submitted voluntarily when attaching a screenshot to a bug report, or captured when you broadcast or participate in a live match stream.
Camera and microphone. Accessed only while you are actively using the live match broadcast feature, and only with your permission via your device's OS-level permission prompt.
Push notification tokens. Used to deliver match updates, schedule changes, and account notifications to your device.
Automatically collected data. Standard technical data (device type, app version, crash logs) collected via Sentry to diagnose and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
The Service is used by youth sports players, some of whom may be under 13 (or the relevant age of consent in your region). Accounts for minors are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for reviewing and consenting to this Privacy Policy on the minor's behalf. We limit the data collected from minor accounts to what is necessary for league participation (name, date of birth, team roster, statistics) and do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children without parental consent. Parents/guardians may contact us at support@thelyg.com to review, correct, or delete their child's information.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive fields (such as date of birth) at rest and TLS encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@thelyg.com. You can also delete your account directly from the app's Settings screen.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email, and update the "Last updated" date above.
