Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of "The Lyg" mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by LYG INC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. Accounts for players under 13 must be created and managed by a parent/guardian account.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@thelyg.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Certain features require a paid subscription tier (Pro/Premium), billed yearly and auto-renewing unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.

  • Web/Stripe subscriptions: managed and cancelled from within the app's Subscription screen; billing is processed by Stripe.
  • App Store / Play Store subscriptions: purchased through Apple or Google, billed and renewed by them according to their own terms, and managed/cancelled through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through us directly.
  • Trials: some tiers include a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period.
  • Refunds: for Stripe purchases, contact us at support@thelyg.com within a reasonable time of purchase. For Apple/Google purchases, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies, which we cannot override.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any team, league, or organization.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, or that violates another person's rights (including minors' privacy).
  • Use the live broadcast, camera, or microphone features to record or share content without the consent of people appearing in it.
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls, or use the Service to build a competing product.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, videos, bug reports, profile information). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, and display it as necessary to operate the Service (e.g. showing a broadcast to other league members).

6. League and Match Data

Statistics, schedules, rosters, and match results entered into the Service are provided by coaches, league administrators, and other users and may contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any statistic, schedule, or result.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Participation in physical sporting activities organized or scheduled through the Service carries inherent risk of injury, which is not caused by or the responsibility of the Service itself.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LYG INC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to injuries sustained during sporting events organized through the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law principles, and any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin.
